Vinyasa
Let your mind go in this high energy flow class. A challenging, heat-building practice focused on continual, fluid movement in sync with the breath.
Iyengar
Developed by B. K. S. Iyengar, this is a form of Hatha Yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture and breath control.
Yin
Yin is a passive practice where poses are held for 3-5 minutes at a time with the focus on the connective tissues of the body. Most postures are seated, with focus on the whole physical and emotional body.
Restorative
Quiet your mind, relieve aches and soothe your soul in tranquil sessions that leave you refreshed.
Bali Yoga
Unique dynamic practice that will challenge both body and mind.
Mandala Flow
Experience a 360-degree circular flow that moves creatively around the mat. This rhythmic, full-body practice blends strength and flexibility into a meditative sequence, leaving you feeling balanced and energized.
Ashtanga Intro
Begin your Ashtanga practice with this introductory class. Learn the essential postures and breathing techniques in a structured, methodical approach to build discipline and focus.
Know Your Body
We believe yoga is about self-responsibility, so please be respectful of your body in order to avoid injuries. If any pain is experienced during your practice, gently ease out of the movement or posture and notify your instructor. Wear comfortable clothing and remember personal hygiene is important as we often share equipment. It may be a good idea to bring a towel. Yoga should be practiced on an empty stomach so please refrain from eating within two hours of your class. Stay well hydrated and get ready for some fun.
Yoga Classes in Sanur - FAQs
Details you might be wondering about
Can I do daily yoga classes in Sanur, Bali?
Yes. Power of Now Oasis runs daily drop-in yoga classes on the beachfront in Sanur, with four classes a day, every day, open to all levels.
Classes are held in a bamboo or garden shala right on the beach, and drop-ins are welcome with no booking needed.
Do I need to book a yoga class in advance?
No, drop-in classes need no reservation. Just arrive at the shala at least 20 to 30 minutes before your chosen class.
Weekends tend to get busier, so it’s worth arriving a little earlier on those days.
Private sessions for individuals or groups do need to be arranged in advance, so contact the studio to set one up.
How many yoga classes run each day, and at what times?
Power of Now Oasis runs four classes a day, every day, at 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:00am, and 5:00pm, with an additional class at 3:30pm at weekends.
The schedule is updated weekly and published on the Yoga Classes page here.
What yoga styles do you offer?
Styles on rotation include Hatha, Hatha Flow, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Yin, Restorative, Bali Yoga, Mandala Flow, and Power Yoga.
They range from gentle, alignment-based and passive practices (Hatha, Yin, Restorative or Iyengar) to dynamic, breath-led flows (Vinyasa, Hatha Flow, Mandala Flow), plus a local Balinese practice.
Are your yoga classes suitable for beginners?
Yes, every class welcomes beginners, and teachers offer modifications throughout, so you can join at any level.
Some styles are gentler to start with than others, so if you are not sure which suits you, reach out before you come and we will point you to the right one.
Which yoga class is best for beginners?
Hatha is the best starting point, as it moves at a slower pace and builds the foundations of alignment, breath, and balance. Yin and Restorative are also gentle and beginner-friendly. Every class is open to all levels with modifications offered, so you can join any of them, but if it is your first time, start with Hatha.
How much does a single drop-in yoga class cost?
A single drop-in yoga class is 140,000 IDR (around USD 9), with no registration and no commitment.
If you decide to come back, class cards work out cheaper per class and stay valid for three months.
How much do yoga class cards cost?
A 5-class card is 650,000 IDR and a 10-class card is 1,200,000 IDR, both valid for three months, and a monthly unlimited pass is 2,000,000 IDR.
Class cards are non-refundable after purchase. Reduced rates are available for KITAS, KITAP, and KTP holders on showing valid ID.
How does the payment process work?
Power of Now Oasis accepts card, QRIS, and cash at the studio, and you pay on the day for drop-in classes.
Class cards and passes can be paid for the same way.
Do you provide yoga mats, or should I bring my own?
Power of Now Oasis provides mats, blocks, straps, and small towels for every class, though you are welcome to bring your own.
Wear comfortable clothing and try to avoid eating for about two hours before class.
Water and fresh juices are available at the centre.
Are private yoga sessions available?
Yes, private yoga sessions are available for individuals or groups across a range of styles. They need to be booked in advance, so contact info@powerofnowoasis.com or message on WhatsApp to arrange a time and discuss what you are looking for.
Can I join a yoga class while pregnant?
Yes, you can join. We recommend Hatha, Hatha Flow, or Restorative, as these classes are more gentle.
We do not recommend Yin yoga during pregnancy, because the body produces more relaxin, a hormone that softens the ligaments, and Yin’s deep, long-held stretches can overstretch joints that are already looser.
As a general rule, listen to your body, avoid any positions that feel uncomfortable, and always check with your doctor or midwife.
Please also tell the teacher before the class starts.
Can I join a yoga class if I am injured?
It depends on your injury. The teachers can modify asanas (yoga poses) to a certain point, so where possible choose a more gentle class, listen to your body, and avoid anything that aggravates it. Please let the teacher know before the class starts, and always double-check with your doctor first.
Are there changing rooms and a shower?
Yes, Power of Now Oasis has rooms where you can change, along with one shower available for guests.
