Krisna yoga teacher in Bali with over 20 years of experience in Hatha and Yin yoga.
Krisna’s path to yoga began in 2005, driven by a need to recover from sports injuries. What started as physical rehabilitation gradually revealed itself to be something much bigger, and yoga has been at the centre of his life ever since. That early experience of healing through movement never left him. It became the foundation of how he teaches today.
After more than 20 years living abroad and travelling the world, Krisna made a bold decision: he left his position at the Indonesian Embassy in Ecuador and headed to Rishikesh, India, to deepen his practice and knowledge. It was the kind of leap that changes everything. Immersed in one of the world’s most respected yoga traditions, he studied seriously, refined his understanding, and returned to Bali with a practice that was both technically grounded and deeply personal.
Back in Bali, he taught at retreat centres and studios across Ubud before joining the Power of Now Oasis team in Sanur, where he has been for over ten years. In that time he has taught hundreds of students, from complete beginners taking their first class to experienced practitioners looking to go deeper. He is an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, and in our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training he teaches asana practice and alignment, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy and history, Hatha yoga, and Yin yoga.
As a Hatha and Yin yoga teacher in Bali, Krisna brings together balance, breath awareness, and precise alignment, not as separate elements but as a single, unified practice. His Hatha classes are structured and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on understanding the body, building awareness, and moving with intention. His Yin classes invite stillness, patience, and a slower kind of listening, holding postures longer to reach the deeper layers of the body and mind.
What sets Krisna apart is his ability to make complex alignment accessible. He does not teach to impress. He teaches to help people feel better in their bodies. Whether you are recovering from an injury, managing stress, or simply looking to build a consistent practice, his classes meet you where you are.
Yoga, for him, is about healing, staying grounded, and living authentically. That philosophy comes through in everything he teaches, in the way he cues, the pace he sets, and the space he holds for his students.
Krisna speaks both English and Indonesian, making his classes welcoming and accessible to students from all backgrounds, whether local or international.
He currently lives in Ubud and offers Hatha and Yin yoga classes as part of our daily schedule at Power of Now Oasis in Sanur, Bali. If you are looking for a teacher who combines technical precision with genuine warmth, Krisna’s classes are not to be missed.
Yoga is not about perfecting the pose. It is about understanding yourself through the practice.
