Kristi Vinyasa Yin yoga teacher in Bali at Power of Now Oasis in Sanur.

Kristi’s relationship with Bali began in 2015, when she arrived at 19 years old for on-the-job training, her first time living away from home. She stayed seven months, and when she left, she knew she had to find her way back. In 2024, she finally did.

She discovered yoga in 2021 when a friend invited her to a class, but it was in 2022 that her practice truly took root. That year, she lost her best friend, and yoga became the constant that helped her find her footing again. It has been that ever since, a grounding force when everything else feels overwhelming. That personal experience with yoga as a tool for healing and steadiness is something she brings quietly into every class she teaches.

In 2024 she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Power of Now Oasis, not necessarily to teach, but to go deeper. Completing it changed that. She has since added a 50-hour Yin YTT with Denise Payne to her training and is working through a 200-hour Thai Massage course. Always a student, always expanding.

She now teaches at Power of Now Oasis, primarily leading Vinyasa and Yin yoga classes, while also offering Hatha, Hatha Flow, and Yin as part of our daily class schedule in Sanur, Bali. What she loves about teaching is the same thing that keeps her on the mat: the creativity and joy of Vinyasa, the grounding of Hatha, and the quiet depth of Yin.

Her classes are a genuine space where students can explore, connect, and feel at ease. She creates an atmosphere that is warm and unhurried, where beginners feel welcome and experienced practitioners feel challenged.

She is just getting started, and that enthusiasm is exactly what makes her classes worth showing up for.

Yoga gave me more than I came looking for. It still does.
