If you’re considering joining a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2026, you might be wondering what the experience will really be like, not just the schedule or subjects, but how it feels to spend a month living, studying, and practicing yoga by the ocean in Sanur.

While an online training program can cover theory, there’s something irreplaceable about learning in person, feeling the group energy, receiving hands-on guidance, and being fully immersed in the daily rhythm of practice.

At Power of Now Oasis, every training has its own rhythm, but the essence remains the same: a balance of structure, learning, community, and space to slow down. Here’s what you can expect when you join us in 2026, from your first morning in our beachside shala to the moment you graduate surrounded by new friends.

What to Expect When You Arrive

Our 200-hour YTT is based on a Hatha Vinyasa foundation, combining steady alignment-focused practice with mindful flow. You’ll also gain a basic understanding of Yin Yoga, learning how stillness and softness can complement a more dynamic practice.

When you first step into Power of Now Oasis, you’ll immediately feel the calm. The studio sits just a few steps from the beach, with the sea breeze moving through the open-air shala and the sound of waves in the background.

If you arrive before the YTT begins, you’re welcome to join as many classes from our daily schedule as you like during the two weeks leading up to the training. It’s a great way to meet some of the teachers and our team, settle into your accommodation, and get familiar with the area that will be your home for the coming weeks.

We’ll also create a WhatsApp group before the course starts so you can connect with your fellow students in advance. Our groups are always a warm mix of people from around the world, different ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience, all brought together by the same love for yoga and curiosity to learn.

Some will come to deepen their practice. Others dream of teaching. A few simply want a break from fast-paced life and a chance to reconnect. Whatever brings you here, you’ll soon realize that the YTT is more than a course, it’s a month of living and breathing yoga in every sense.

YTT 2026: How Your Days Will Flow

Life in Sanur moves at an easy pace, and so do our mornings. As you walk or cycle to the studio in the soft morning light, you’ll see locals placing their daily offerings and feel the peaceful rhythm of the island setting the tone for the day ahead. Each day begins early with the traditional neti cleansing practice, one of the kriyas, followed by pranayama or meditation at 7:30 a.m.

The first session of the day is always physical: asana practice guided by one of our senior teachers. You’ll move through dynamic and grounding sequences, learning not only how to do each posture, but why, how to connect breath, focus, and alignment.

During the breakfast break, guests staying at Kolonial House will receive their included breakfast right at the shala. We serve a healthy mix of seasonal fruits, high-quality yogurt, and homemade granola.

If you’re staying elsewhere, you’re still welcome to enjoy the same breakfast at the shala, it’s available for everyone. Of course, you’re also free to prepare your own meal or explore the nearby cafés and restaurants. There are plenty of great options around.

After breakfast, the focus moves toward understanding yoga beyond physical practice. Late mornings are usually dedicated to subjects like philosophy or anatomy,  moments to listen, ask questions, and reflect together in the shala. Everything is taught with patience and space to take it in.

Next comes the asana alignment session. Each class focuses on a specific group of postures, where you’ll learn how to align them correctly, understand key principles, and explore safe modifications for different bodies.

When lunchtime arrives, everything slows down. Many students order food from nearby restaurants that deliver directly to the shala, with plenty of choices for different diets, plus some irresistible local snacks and treats. You’ll have enough time to enjoy your meal, take a walk to the beach, swim in the sea, or simply rest in the shade. Sanur’s easy rhythm invites you to pause, and these quiet moments in between study and practice often become just as meaningful as the learning itself.

Afternoons are where practice becomes teaching. You’ll learn how to guide others, build sequences, and find your voice as a teacher. This part of the course often surprises students the most, it’s where confidence begins to grow.

On some days, we include special sessions and group activities to complement your training, such as guest lectures on Ayurveda or Prenatal Yoga, an Agni Hotra fire ceremony, or a stand-up paddle (SUP) meditation out on the ocean.

After a full day of training, many students like to unwind by exploring Sanur’s restaurants and cafés, enjoying good food and the town’s easy atmosphere. Others prefer a quiet evening in, ordering dinner to their room and relaxing at places like Kolonial House, either on their own or together with fellow students staying there.

What You’ll Learn

Alignment Practice with Lead Trainer Krisna During YTT in Bali

During your month with us, you’ll explore yoga from many angles, physical, philosophical, and personal. You’ll deepen your knowledge of asana, theory, and meditation while also studying how yoga relates to daily life. The training includes a blend of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga, three complementary styles that you’ll study in both practice and theory. You’ll learn how Hatha builds alignment and stability, how Vinyasa connects breath with movement, and how Yin invites stillness and release. Together, they give you a well-rounded foundation to understand and teach yoga with balance and confidence.

The asana practice and asana alignment classes focus on alignment, technique, and body awareness. You’ll discover how to move safely, how to adapt poses for different bodies, and how to link breath with movement.

The theory sessions explore the roots of yoga, its history, purpose, and meaning in today’s world. You’ll read and discuss classical teachings in a way that feels relevant and grounded. The goal isn’t to memorize text, but to understand how yoga can be a guide for living more consciously.

You’ll also practice teaching from the very first week. These sessions are interactive and supportive. You’ll teach small sections, receive feedback, and learn from your peers. By the final week, you’ll guide a full class with your group, something most students start out nervous about, but end up loving.

Every part of the course connects: what you study in the morning shows up in your afternoon teaching, and what you feel in practice becomes part of your understanding in discussion.

The Setting: Life in Sanur

Sanur is the perfect base for this kind of study. It’s peaceful, safe, and community-oriented, a contrast to Bali’s busier areas. You’ll find local warungs, small cafés, and long stretches of beach where you can walk for hours.

The training takes place in our bamboo beachfront shala, surrounded by trees and open sky. Between classes, you can rest in the garden, grab a smoothie by the sea, or visit the nearby spa for a massage. It’s not about luxury,  it’s about simplicity and feeling at home.

Many students say that the setting helps them learn more deeply. You’re close to nature, close to the ocean, and surrounded by a team that truly cares. That environment allows you to slow down, listen, and connect, to yourself and to others.

The Community Experience

One of the most memorable parts of any YTT at Power of Now Oasis is the people you meet. Students come from every corner of the world, each bringing their own story, energy, and curiosity.

In the beginning, everyone is a little shy, unsure of what’s ahead. But after a few days, something shifts. You’ll share early mornings, group challenges, laughter during teaching practice, and quiet reflection in the evenings. These shared experiences turn into friendships that often last long after the course ends.

Our team also becomes part of your community. Teachers are approachable and present, always available for guidance, questions, or simple conversation.

Giving back is also an important part of who we are. Power of Now Oasis was built with the intention to share yoga and to support those in need. A portion of all profits from our trainings goes to the Sole Family Foundation (Solemen), a local charity in Bali that provides care and practical help to families living with disabilities, chronic illness, and mental health challenges. By joining our YTT, you directly contribute to their ongoing work and become part of something that reaches beyond the mat, a community rooted in compassion and purpose.

By 2026, this sense of family will remain one of the strongest parts of the training. Students don’t just come to learn yoga; they become part of a community that values kindness, authenticity, and growth.

What Might Challenge You

The YTT is immersive. It’s beautiful, but it’s not always easy and that’s part of what makes it meaningful. You’ll move your body every day, study long hours, and explore topics that sometimes bring up emotions or self-reflection.

Fatigue can set in, especially in the first week. The tropical climate adds its own intensity, it’s warm, humid, and can take time to adjust to. You might feel moments of doubt, wondering if you’re doing enough or learning fast enough.

All of this is normal. Our teachers are there to support you through those moments, reminding you that yoga isn’t about perfection, but presence. The challenges become part of the learning process, helping you build patience, humility, and self-awareness.

What You’ll Take Home

By the end of the training, most students describe feeling completely different from when they arrived. You’ll notice physical strength, mental clarity, and a sense of calm that extends beyond the mat.

You’ll graduate with a certificate from Power of Now Oasis that is Yoga Alliance certified, making you eligible to register with Yoga Alliance and teach internationally. It’s a qualification recognized around the world, opening doors whether you plan to teach at home or abroad.

Beyond the certification, you’ll leave with the skills to teach safely and confidently, if that’s your path, but also with a deeper understanding of yourself. Many graduates say they return home seeing life a little differently: more aware, more patient, more grateful.

And you won’t leave alone. The friendships formed here often continue for years, connecting students across the world. You’ll become part of the Power of Now Oasis family, a global network of teachers and practitioners who share the same love for yoga and Bali.

Preparing for Your YTT 2026

If you’re already planning your YTT in 2026, a little preparation helps. Start by practicing regularly, even a few short sessions each week. Focus on consistency rather than complexity.

It’s also helpful to bring an open mind. You don’t need to be an advanced yogi or know Sanskrit terms. All levels are welcome, and everyone starts from where they are. The most important thing is curiosity and willingness to learn.

Pack lightly, bring a notebook, and come ready to be present. The YTT isn’t just about learning to teach yoga, it’s about understanding yourself in new ways.

A Final Word

By 2026, a 200-hour YTT at Power of Now Oasis will still be what it has always been: a space to grow, connect, and rediscover balance – surrounded by ocean air, kind people, and the peaceful rhythm of Sanur.

It’s not just a training; it’s a month that will stay with you long after you leave Bali, a journey of growth and self-discovery.
